When is the full payment due?

By the first class

I didn’t receive anything in the mail. Can we still enroll?

Yes! Of course! Since we use AISD’s Open Records Database to mail our invitations, we do not have addresses for any private school student or anyone that does not want their information shared.

My child goes to “ABCD” elementary but they have friends at “EFG” elementary – can we sign up for a different cotillion class?

Yes! We want each child to be as comfortable as possible.

What is the dress code? Can my child wear…jeans, flip flops, etc…?

  • Young ladies must wear dresses or skirts, no long pants or coulottes (exception: Fifties night and Country Western night). We suggest no strapless dresses or high heels or flip flops.
  • Young gentlemen must wear dress shirts and pants (jeans on Fifties and Country Western nights).  Ties must be worn to each class and coats will be required for the final Spring Fling party

The form says Cotillion 1, 2, 3, or 4 – which one do I enroll for?

Please check the Cotillion Schedule here for school assignments.

I hear the parents can chaperone for classes? How do I sign up to chaperone?

Because of COVID-19, we are not allowing parents to chaperone at this time.

Where are the classes held?

Classes are held at Miss Persis Studio in Downtown Arlington. Our address is 222 W., Main St. 76010. The Spring Fling is at the Bob Duncan Center at Vandergriff Park in Arlington.

We do not live in Arlington/attend a listed school – can we still enroll?

Yes, please call or email for placement.

Can parents watch the classes?

No, however at the end of each class, we open the Main St. blinds so parents can view the last few minutes of class.

Do I stay for the class?

No and if possible, drop them off a little early (about 10 minutes). We have limited parking near our studio so while we know it’s very exciting, just drop them off. Now, you have 90-minutes to shop or eat! We recommend checking out all the wonderful Downtown Arlington restaurants. Call us if you’re looking for any recommendations.

Will the boys and girls be dancing together?

Yes. Because of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic, we are very aware of hygiene. We have hand sanitize available as well as soap in all our bathrooms for before and after class.

My child is scared/nervous/anxious about the first class.

And that’s okay! We completely understand. With over 30+ years of cotillion experience, our teachers are trained to handle these situations. We recommend coming to the studio BEFORE the first class so they can see the space and meet us.

Is Cotillion only for 6th graders?

As of right now, yes.
