Miss Persis Studio Information
It is our purpose to maintain the highest standards of dance training for students of all ages and levels. The curriculum includes beginning to advanced training in ballet, lyrical, jazz, hip hop, tap, musical theatre, including creative dramatics, and vocal and dance coaching.
Our staff and teachers are highly professional, and you may be assured that our classes are conducted and disciplined in a manner associated with proper dance education. We do demand respect and proper behavior at all times and reserve the right to dismiss any student who upsets the harmony of the school.
Your cooperation concerning the rules of the studio will be greatly appreciated.
MPS Policies
- • No smoking anywhere inside the studio.
- • No food or drinks are allowed inside the studio.
- • Classes will begin and end on time; please be prompt. Younger children should arrive ten minutes before class time. Do not bring young children 30 minutes early. When you do, they are too tired to learn in the dance class.
- • Miss Persis Studio and MPS employees are not responsible for any injuries while students are on the premises or in classes.
- • Siblings who are waiting with parents must be supervised. Thank you for controlling your children. Their manners reflect your love for them.
- • All students must wear coverups over dancewear outside the studio and should remain inside the studio after class. We cannot be responsible for your child’s safety outside the studio.
Dress Code
At Miss Persis Studio of Dance, our dress code helps create a focused learning environment where every dancer can move safely, build confidence, and develop proper technique. Wearing the appropriate dance attire shows respect for the art of dance and allows instructors to provide the best possible instruction.
General Guidelines
- Hair must be neatly secured away from the face before class.
- Ballet: Hair in a bun.
- All combo and other classes: Ponytail, braid, or bun.
- No jewelry other than small stud earrings.
- No gum, food, or drinks in the studio. Water bottles are encouraged.
- Dance shoes should only be worn inside the studio to help protect the dance floors.
- Please label all shoes and dancewear with your dancer's name.

Littles Dance Party & Hip Hop
- Comfortable athletic clothing that allows movement.
- Athletic shoes suitable for dancing.
Ballet
- Black leotard (optional ballet skirt)
- Pink tights

- Hair in a ballet bun
Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre & Technique
- Leotard or fitted dance top (no bare midriff)
- Tights (optional dance shorts, leggings or jazz pants)
- Tan or flesh-colored jazz shoes
- Black tap shoes
